"Accelerate" (加速, Kasoku, Tonari: 61 + 62 + 63) is the forty-fourth chapter of the One-Punch Man manga series.

Long Summary
Speed-o'-Sound Sonic leaps down from a streetlight, boasting that he will defeat Genos and that Saitama will be next. Meanwhile, Fubuki senses his killing intent and calls him dangerous. Genos tells Saitama he will handle Sonic, which amuses Sonic, who mocks him for being slow. Genos replies that he has not shown him what he is capable of yet, then accelerates and quickly moves behind Sonic, attacking but missing as Sonic reacts in time and dodges. Saitama and Fubuki watch the fight. While Saitama notices Genos moving faster than when they fought, even guessing that he has upgraded his parts, Fubuki struggles to keep up with their speed.
As the fight continues, Sonic notices Genos constantly appearing behind him and thinks he is mocking his speed. Genos then cuts off Sonic's topknot, leaving him with short hair, which angers Sonic.
Genos moves behind Sonic and unleashes his Machine Gun Blow technique, only to realize he struck nothing but an afterimage. Sonic retaliates with his secret move, Four Shadows Burial - Scattered Flash Slash, which is too fast for Genos to follow. Genos responds by preparing to incinerate the entire area at maximum power. Just as it seems Sonic has defeated Genos, he notices that Genos collapsed before Sonic could strike. Realizing Saitama intervened, Sonic calls him soft for protecting his disciple, but Saitama explains that he only stopped Genos to prevent him from destroying the surrounding area, since they live nearby. Saitama then orders Genos to stop fighting, saying that Sonic's real target is him, and declares he will take Sonic on seriously. Sonic vows to use the ultimate technique he developed to kill Saitama.
Meanwhile, Fubuki observes the entire fight and feels relieved she has been ignored, knowing she might have been in danger otherwise.
Sonic attacks Saitama with his ultimate technique, Ten Shadows Burial. Both Genos and Fubuki are impressed but still manage to see it. Sonic fails to gain the upper hand, and Saitama counters with one of his killer moves, Serious Series: Serious Side Hops, creating countless clones and overwhelming Sonic. Sonic appears to be knocked out, which Genos initially mistakes for death, but Sonic escapes instantly. Witnessing everything, Fubuki remarks that Saitama is far too strong.
