"Tears of Regret" (悔し泣き, Kuyashinaki, Tonari: 139) is the one hundred first chapter of the One-Punch Man manga series.
Short Summary
After a brief skirmish against G5, Child Emperor and Waganma come across Phoenix Man's corpse. Suddenly, Phoenix Man resurrects, becoming stronger than before. Child Emperor is forced to summon his ace weapon, Brave Giant to battle.
Long Summary
G5 encounters Child Emperor and Waganma after destroying the former's Radio-Controlled Sentry. He resists the effects of Child Emperor's Enemy Machine Disabling Device: Bug Kun and quickly destroys it. G5 then engages in battle with the newly merged Underdog Man, now known as Mad Dog Underdog Cerberus, while being hindered by Child Emperor's bird lime missiles. As G5 fights Mad Dog Underdog Cerberus, Child Emperor and Waganma take the opportunity to escape.
Along the way, they stumble upon Phoenix Man's shredded body. Waganma remarks that he recognizes the costume from a comedy show called "Animal Kingdom", in which the character could revive itself regardless of how it died. While Child Emperor reflects on this, Phoenix Man suddenly revives in a newer, stronger form. Child Emperor confronts the monster, deploying five layers of his transparent film, but they are pierced through by Phoenix Man's Beak Attack. Overwhelmed by frustration at his own helplessness, tears stream down Child Emperor's cheeks as he is forced to summon his ultimate weapon, Brave Giant. However, Phoenix Man accurately identifies the mecha's limitations, and Child Emperor is reminded that Brave Giant has an activity limit of 2 minutes and 38 seconds. Determined, Child Emperor steels himself, knowing the monster must be defeated within that window.
