Long Summary

Both King and Tareo are running when they come across a strange distortion in the space ahead. Metal Bat notices it as well, but the anomaly prevents him from recognizing King and Tareo, who are right in front of him. Suddenly, Pineapple, Mohican, and Food Battler Futoshi emerge from the distortion. Futoshi later explains that the anomaly is a quantum stealth shield concealing a tank. Waganma steps out from the tank and hugs Tareo, relieved that Waganma is also safe. Waganma asks if Child Emperor saved Tareo, but Tareo replies that it was King and "the uncle" who saved him. Waganma quickly urges King and Metal Bat to rescue Child Emperor. Metal Bat questions in his mind whether Waganma has truly changed his attitude; Waganma replies that his dad will cover the medical bills, much to Metal Bat's relief. Both Pineapple and Mohican apologize to Metal Bat for failing to protect Waganma from the monster that took him.

Metal Bat encourages them to stay strong, claiming that a man is at his strongest when paying his "debts." However, Pineapple and Mohican admit feeling disheartened by the power gap between them and the S-Class heroes. Sekingar then shows up from the tank, telling them not to feel insecure and assigning two lower-ranked heroes to guard the kids. He instructs Metal Bat and King to stay in a position where they can monitor the fight. Impressed that the Hero Association has someone like Sekingar, Metal Bat follows the order, which pleases Sekingar. Hearing Sekingar's words, King reflects on his inability to help much when he lured Elder Centipede by being mistaken for a strong opponent, but reassures himself that Saitama will arrive. Gathering his resolve, King declares that he will do his best. Metal Bat teases him before giving a supportive pat on the back. Tareo asks King to save "the uncle," but King questions who that is and whether he is a hero. Tareo admits he does not know and simply asks King not to bully him if they meet.

Metal Bat constructs a slingshot using parts of a tire, attaching it to a truck he kicked into position. The two S-Class heroes get into the slingshot as Tareo and Waganma wish them luck. Sekingar then cuts the rope with a laser, launching King and Metal Bat into the air. They land with a crash outside a batting cage.
