Aggregation (シュウゴウタイ, Shūgōtai; Viz: Conglommero) is a Dragon-level Mysterious Being that appears in P-City before being eliminated by Tatsumaki.
Appearance
Aggregation is a massive floating cluster composed of an enormous number of insects. It appears as a vaguely spherical cloud suspended in the air, maintaining a shape only when the insects that form it gather closely together. When the swarm attacks, however, the size of the cloud decreases.
Personality
Aggregation utilizes swarm tactics, attempting to overwhelm perceived threats through sheer volume. It also seems to possess an instinctual drive to multiply, steadily increasing its numbers over time.
Plot
Neo Heroes Saga
Neo Heroes Uprising Arc
Aggregation confronts Tatsumaki.
Aggregation appears in P-City and is confronted by Tatsumaki. She finds it disgusting before the mass scatters toward her.[1] Tatsumaki squeezes it out, using the same method she once used to squeeze out the fusion of Psykos and Orochi's roots. However, another large swarm of Aggregation erupts from beneath the ground and buildings toward her. Concluding that she cannot leave even one bug alive or hidden, she decides to destroy the entire city to ensure its complete annihilation. P-City is subsequently pulverized into grains of sand, resulting in Aggregation's elimination.
Abilities and Powers
As a Dragon-level Mysterious Being, Aggregation is a dangerous threat. Its most notable trait is its self-replication ability, which allows it to increase exponentially in number over time. This forced Tatsumaki to pulverize the whole of P-City into grains of sand to ensure that not a single insect remained hidden or alive.
Physical Abilities
Flight: As a cluster of flying insects, Aggregation can fly through the air.[2][3]
Aggregation's insects splitting into two.
Self Replication: The insects that form Aggregation can each split into two, multiplying exponentially. This required Tatsumaki to eliminate them quickly to prevent their numbers from growing over time. The limits of this replication remain unclear, including how many times they can divide and whether the process occurs at a fixed rate or varies. Tatsumaki noted that their numbers can increase rapidly fast. To ensure complete elimination so that not a single insect remained, Tatsumaki destroyed P-City to such an extent that everything was pulverized. In the aftermath, she remarked that the entire continent itself would have been "bug food" if she had not done so, highlighting the massive threat posed by Aggregation's self-replication ability.[4]
Fighting Style
Aggregation scattering towards Tatsumaki to attack her.
Swarm-Based Combat: Aggregation appears to utilize a swarm-based fighting style, overwhelming opponents by dispersing into vast number of insects that surround and attack from all directions. When possessing sufficient mass, the swarm can burst through solid substances in order to emerge from underground, lift vehicles, and collapse building structures.[5]
